PETTARINI IN THE TERRITORY
Awareness of the impact that business activities can have on people and the land is the cardinal element in the sensitivity developed towards sustainability issues.
In order to generate prosperity both for people and for the region in which Pettarini is rooted, the company has developed numerous dedicated projects and development programmes. The Sustainability Report published in 2024 collects and organises all the company’s activities and their impacts in a useful document for all stakeholders.

P.CR.E.A. PROJECT
During 2024, Pettarini collaborated with the ‘Bearzi’ Technical Institute in Udine in the organisation of the P. CR.E.A. Project.
P. CR.E.A. is the competition of ideas promoted by Pettarini, dedicated to the 4th and 5th year students of the mechatronics course at the Bearzi Institute.
The competition involved 3 groups of students, who were given the task of solving a real business case.
The winning project was able to meet both technological and sustainability requirements in line with the UN 2030 Agenda.
RESPONSIBLE INVESTMENT
The installation of the company’s second photovoltaic plant was completed in 2024. This work concludes a cycle of investments dedicated to increasing the capacity to use renewable sources for energy and water needs.
Within three years, from 2022 to 2024, Pettarini installed two photovoltaic systems and a water-oil separator.
Photovoltaic systems are able to meet 60% of the company’s energy needs.
The water-oil separator, on the other hand, allows efficient use of water resources. From the emulsion deriving from the liquids used in the production process, this machine is able to separate the oily liquids from the water, favouring the recirculation and, therefore, the reuse of the latter within the process. In addition, the oily part, through dedicated treatments, is also reused, reducing the waste of resources to a minimum.

Pettarini established a link with the sporting and cultural activities that animate the Friuli region.
Through partnerships and sponsorships, the ambition is to be able to contribute to the development and success of these associations, which are representative and noble organisations and can spread those values and ethical principles in which the company also recognises itself.

The Sustainability Assessment Questionnaire (SAQ) is the globally recognised standard for the automotive industry. Applicable to all suppliers in the supply chain, Pettarini also underwent its completion and was awarded a certificate of conformity to the required standard.
