DESIGN AND PROTOTYPING
In Pettarini, every project begins with the client’s idea, from its needs and identified potential critical issues.
From the customer’s drawing, or at least from his idea, Pettarini technicians analyze the geometry, materials and the technical characteristics required for assess their formabilityand, consequently, feasibility.
Pettarini is able to propose optimized solutions for its production processes and for the characteristics required by the customer. The objective, at this stage, is represented by the search for the perfect balance between performance and production efficiency. Through this method, Pettarini is able to be a reliable and competitive partner for its customers’ challenges.
TOOLING AND SAMPLING
After defining the final geometry in consultation with the customer, Pettarini designs and manufactures the technical equipment necessary for the first sampling.
With the production of the first sample, any technical modifications are made to complete this phase. The final equipment, complete in every element, will be the one used later in the actual production cycle.
Each step in this phase is validated by the Quality department and shared with the client.
FORMING OF INITIAL GEOMETRY
With the validation of the technical equipment, the forming phase of the component in its initial geometry can begin.
The cold forming process enables the production of components with complex geometry by cutting and plastic deformation of metal wire.
This process ensures a high production efficiency and, at the same time, a quality standard appropriate to the customer’s requirements. In addition, the repeatability of the process makes it possible to keep the dimensions defined by the project stable throughout the entire production cycle.
THREADS AND COMPLETION GEOMETRIES
The rolling stage allows the realization of the threads and completion geometries.
This is a phase in which the Company is able to apply special and customized ideas and solutions, to achieve the goal set by the customer.
Through the know-how and inventive ability of technicians and machine operators, Pettarini can adapt the rolling stage for the realization of special parts. In this way, it is possible to drastically limit the cost of a component, avoiding more expensive and complex machining.
COMPLETION OF ADDED VALUE
The machinery and value completion phase is fully integrated into the company’s production cycle.
At this stage, machining operations are carried out to complete a component in its complex geometry, as desired by the customer.
Heat and surface treatments are added to the recovery processes and represent a further distinctive element of the company. In fact, Pettarini is able to suggest and supply its customers with the most suitable treatments for the specific needs of each component.
VERIFICATION OF THE QUALITY STANDARD
The production of a component goes through the phase of verification and confirmation of the required quality standards.
Quality is a process that goes through the entire value chain of a part: from the choice of the right supplier for the most suitable material to the optical selection at the end of the cycle. At each production step, the technical department dedicated to Quality is involved for the necessary checks required by both the customer and the applicable regulations.
Pettarini ha saputo sviluppare un reparto tecnico per la Qualità capace di ottenere e di sostenere la certificazione IATF 16949 per l’Automotive. Un elemento distintivo che permette di garantire un elevato livello qualitativo per ogni componente prodotto, sia per il settore Automotive, sia per ogni altro settore produttivo.
SHIPPING AND TRANSPORT
Pettarini is able to guarantee packaging and transport, tailored to each customer’s needs.
The warehouse on Via Fierutta is the nerve centre of these operations.
Thanks to the boxing machines and warehouse operators, customer-specific requirements regarding batches and shipping are met on time.
This is the final stage of the company’s production process, which is essential to ensure that Pettarini components reach customers in the right place, at the right time.
