SIMUFACT
Feasibility assessment is an indispensable element in the development of tooling.
The objective of this evaluation is to forecast the material performance in the machine and to develop effective tooling solutions.
The software used by Pettarini is the Simufact finite element simulator, which allows technicians and operators to predict the correct behaviour of equipment thanks to specific algorithms and the precise study of the physical context.
TECHNICAL DESIGN
A strength within the company’s production process is the development of complex geometries for manufactured components to meet customer requirements.
Pettarini is able to add the ability to design and engineer accessories, machine parts and small automations in-house to continuously improve the performance of its processes.
This know-how is possible thanks to the skills of the company’s technical department, which specialises in the use of Solidworks CAD software.
ZEISS: OPTICAL CONTROL
In order to achieve ever higher levels of precision and guaranteed conformity, Pettarini has invested in the most technologically advanced optical inspection machines.
An excellent example is the Zeiss optical inspection machine, one of the most important in quality control.
The Zeiss machine is able to provide a complete measurement and conformity report for each measured component. This is possible thanks to a comparison between the measured dimensions on the physical part, the 3D file of the part under analysis and the theoretical measurement values.
To perform the physical measurement, Zeiss uses a system consisting of probes, cameras and dedicated equipment.
KEYENCE
The Keyence optical measuring device allows the recording of values and tolerances that cannot be achieved with conventional systems and instruments.
Measurement by means of Keyence systems is essential to ensure the proper inspection procedure of parts and geometries.
TOOL WORKSHOP
The production of increasingly complex components has led to an important development of the technical capabilities of the machine tooling department.
As a result, Pettarini has integrated the design and production of dedicated and customised tooling into its process to achieve ever more advanced products.
Wire EDM is an important ally in this phase. In fact, thanks to a very fine wire and continuous discharges of current on the workpiece, it is able to produce complex and, at the same time, very precise shapes.
